First of all, I love breadcrumbs! If there aren't breadcrumbs, I feel like they are trying to hide from me where I've been. I like being able to go back to a specific section especially if I've spent some time screwing around within that section and a few clicks on the "back" button are too cumbersome.

I'm also a huge fan of taglines. I sometimes thing they are too long on some sites, however I do think they can be informative.

On page 108, he discuses showing sub-categories as well as categories on a website. It made me think of www.gap.com . They have a main page with frequently updated material and then when you click on a category at the top, a broken-down side navigation shows up as well as sub-categories at the top, depending on which section you chose. It's almost the opposite of what he was talking about, but along the same lines. I like it because it only shows you the details of the sections if you choose to see them.
