I agree with Tyler, I love that navigating through a website is compared to navigating through Sears. Depending on the website, and the Sears, sometimes both are difficult. Just the other day I tried to navigate through Sears to fine roller blades (yes, I know they're not cool anymore). Although I knew the size of the store, I still had trouble navigating through the main categories because I felt some of them weren't labeled true to the items within them. It was also frustrating because they didn't appear (to me anyway) to be in any type of order.
In this same sense, I find it difficult sometimes to order catgeories on a website. How does one decide which categories go at the top of a (side) navigation and which go at the bottom. True, there are some things that you know most people will use more often, but sometimes you don't. How do you decide what is an easily navigated order of categories?
