Everyone obviously has their different opinions on websites, as they do on most things. I think the best way for a company or group of people to agree on a design idea is educating them on the topic, and doing research. There will always be the CEO who has no clue what's what on the web, and there will always be the developer telling the designer the restrictions. There will always be the ad guy trying to stick ads everyone on the site. The company needs one image and a good education on the web, and the site will do fine.
